EHang Begins Production of First EH216-F Firefighting eVTOL in Beijing

EHang Holdings Limited (Nasdaq: EH) announced the rollout of the first EH216-F electric firefighting eVTOL aircraft from the assembly line at its Low Altitude Emergency Rescue Equipment Headquarters in Fangshan District, Beijing, marking a key milestone in the industrialization of unmanned aerial solutions for emergencies.
The event, held on December 25, 2025, coincides with the first anniversary of the strategic cooperation between EHang and the Fangshan local government, solidifying a government-business collaboration model that integrates industrial manufacturing, R&D, and operational deployment in the low-altitude emergency rescue sector.
The EH216-F, an all-electric, unmanned VTOL, is designed for firefighting, emergency response, and rescue missions, and represents a concrete step toward the commercial application of autonomous aircraft in critical public services. During the ceremony, district officials and EHang executives toured the assembly line, validating the progress of the production infrastructure.
Since December 2024, EHang and Fangshan District have been developing a strategy based on the “one site, multiple scenarios, full industry coverage” approach, supported by the “Six Ones” industrial framework, which includes an industrial fund, incubator, specialized park, and academic support. The initial phase of the factory is now complete and will evolve into a comprehensive base encompassing R&D, testing, assembly, maintenance, and training.
This progress aligns with the priorities of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), which recognizes the low-altitude economy as a strategic industrial cluster. Furthermore, the General Aviation Equipment Innovation and Implementation Plan (2024-2030) aims to achieve the commercial deployment of electric, intelligent, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for emergency rescue by 2027.
With this project, EHang seeks to position its Fangshan headquarters as a national leader in the development of modern air rescue, promoting regional interoperability in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area and strengthening the low-altitude air mobility industrial ecosystem in China.
