The Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) flagship report on Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) moves the concept of flying above urban traffic from theory to practical, applicable analysis. Using the Gurugram–Connaught Place–Jewar Airport corridor as a case study, the report assesses the real-world requirements for integrating AAM into India’s urban transport system.

The analysis addresses key aspects such as travel time efficiency, airspace integration, vertiport planning, energy resilience, operational safety, and public acceptance, demonstrating a clear shift from a conceptual approach to operational viability.

A key element of the report is its phased adoption strategy, prioritizing high-society impact cases such as medical logistics and air ambulance services, as well as the creation of enabling frameworks—including financing and leasing mechanisms—that allow for long-term sustainable deployment.

Sarla Aviation participated as a collaborator in this process, contributing to the strategic discussions that are beginning to define the future of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) in India. The document outlines a clear roadmap where the next step will be coordinated implementation, based on collaboration and trust-building.
