Korean Air Selects Archer Aviation as its Exclusive Partner to Introduce 100 eVTOLs in South Korea

On October 20, 2025, Korean Air and Archer Aviation Inc. (NYSE: ACHR) announced an agreement to commercialize the Midnight eVTOL aircraft in South Korea, with initial applications focused on the government sector. The agreement includes the possibility for Korean Air to acquire up to 100 Midnight aircraft, strengthening the country’s leadership in advanced air mobility.
The collaboration seeks to accelerate the adoption of next-generation aviation technologies by combining Korean Air’s operational and maintenance expertise with Archer’s technological innovation. The project also aligns with the priorities set by the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, which declared urban air mobility a national strategic goal in 2022.
Archer CEO Adam Goldstein highlighted Korean Air’s vision for the future of aviation, while Jin Kyu Lim, Senior Vice President and Head of Aerospace Business at Korean Air, emphasized that this partnership will lay the foundation for the next generation of air mobility in the Republic of Korea.
The Midnight aircraft, capable of 10- to 20-minute flights and replacing 60- to 90-minute ground journeys, continues to advance in its flight testing. Archer recently completed operations at 10,000 feet and public demonstrations to more than 50,000 attendees at the California International Airshow
