Rotron Aerospace announced its participation in Project Brakestop, a UK Ministry of Defence initiative aimed at accelerating the development and evaluation of next-generation defense capabilities.
The company stated that it was one of only three UK suppliers selected for the program, highlighting the successful flight testing of its SkyLance capability as a key milestone achieved during the initiative.
According to Rotron Aerospace, Project Brakestop is designed to demonstrate how close collaboration between government and industry can accelerate the delivery of defense technologies to address urgent operational requirements.
The company noted that the program enabled rapid progression from concept development to successful flight testing, emphasizing the growing importance of development speed as a strategic advantage in the defense sector.
Rotron also highlighted that its solution is fully designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom, leveraging domestic supply chains and scalable production capabilities to provide sovereign defense technologies.
Project Brakestop brings together government organizations, industry partners, and technology providers, including the UK Ministry of Defence and QinetiQ, to accelerate innovation and strengthen national defense capabilities.
