Toyota, Japan | January 15, 2026 — SkyDrive Inc., a Japanese manufacturer of eVTOL aircraft, has reached a general agreement with AeroGulf Services Company LLC, a leading helicopter operator in Dubai, for the potential purchase of 20 SD-05 eVTOL aircraft. The agreement establishes the commercial framework, including pricing structure and delivery schedule, with 10 units planned for 2028 and an additional 10 for 2029.

This agreement represents SkyDrive’s first detailed progress with a customer outside of Japan, marking a key milestone in its international commercialization strategy and underscoring the strategic importance of the United Arab Emirates for the deployment of advanced air mobility.

For AeroGulf Services, the agreement positions the company as a pioneer of advanced air mobility in the Middle East, with plans to integrate zero-emission aviation technology into services focused on tourism and urban mobility. The initiative builds on previous collaborations between the two companies, including a Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2025 to evaluate commercial routes over Palm Jumeirah, and a prior pre-order for up to 50 aircraft.

Following demonstration flights at Expo 2025 Osaka, SkyDrive is now focusing its efforts on achieving full-scale commercialization by 2028, leveraging its manufacturing alliance with Suzuki Motor Corporation to ensure safety and quality standards.
