Volocopter Reaffirms Its Commitment to Bruchsal and Announces New eVTOL Projects

Volocopter reaffirmed its commitment to the city of Bruchsal, highlighting its key role in the future development of urban air mobility. During a recent visit to the hangar, representatives from the local government and economic development met with the Volocopter team to strengthen the cooperation established in recent years and discuss how the new ownership conditions will impact operations in the region.
The company confirmed its plans to advance toward EASA type certification by the end of 2026 and to introduce the VoloXPro, an ultralight version and predecessor of the 2X model, to the market. For the national certification of the VoloXPro, Volocopter will work closely with the German Ultralight Aircraft Association (DULV), whose approval is also expected by the end of 2026.
In addition, the company plans to implement a sandbox, a controlled test environment for experimental flights with the VoloCity and the VoloXPro, thus strengthening innovation and technological leadership in the eVTOL sector.
With these developments, Bruchsal, Baden-Württemberg, and Germany are consolidating their position as global leaders in advanced air mobility.
