Wisk Successfully Completes First Flight of Its Sixth-Generation eVTOL Aircraft

On December, Wisk Aero successfully completed the first flight of its Generation 6 eVTOL aircraft at its flight test facility in Hollister, California, USA. During this initial test, the aircraft executed key vertical takeoff, hover, and stabilization maneuvers, remaining airborne for more than 45 seconds.
With this milestone, Wisk becomes the first company in the industry to have designed, built, and flown six distinct generations of eVTOL aircraft, solidifying a sustained technical track record in the development of advanced air mobility.
The entire flight was recorded by a drone camera, allowing for an unedited view of the aircraft’s real-world performance during the test, reinforcing the transparency of the technology validation process.
Wisk acknowledged the contribution of its engineering and operations team, as well as the strategic collaboration with Boeing, a key partner in the program’s development. The first flight of the Generation 6 represents a significant step in the technical maturation process prior to future testing and certification phases.
