EHang has showcased a new tourism application for its autonomous EH216-S aircraft in China's Erhai Lake region, where passengers can travel between Shuanglang and Xizhou in approximately 10 minutes by air.
According to the company, the same journey takes around one hour by road, positioning the eVTOL as an alternative transportation option while offering panoramic views of one of China's most well-known tourist destinations.
The service utilizes EHang's EH216-S, a fully electric autonomous passenger aircraft designed to operate without a pilot onboard.
The initiative is part of EHang's broader strategy to expand commercial use cases for Advanced Air Mobility, including tourism, urban transportation, and regional mobility services.
The company continues to expand demonstrations and operational deployments of the EH216-S while advancing commercial applications supported by certifications and regulatory approvals in China.
