SkyDrive has announced the successful completion of 300 safe test flights, marking another important milestone in the development and certification of its SD-05 eVTOL aircraft.
According to the company, the achievement reflects the combined efforts of its engineering, flight operations, and test pilot teams, who have prioritized safety throughout the entire flight test campaign while collecting critical data to validate the aircraft's performance.
SkyDrive emphasized that every test flight has been conducted with a disciplined, safety-first approach, allowing engineers to continuously improve the aircraft and gather the information required for type certification.
The company also noted that while significant progress has been made, additional technical and certification challenges remain as it prepares to begin production of its first commercial aircraft next year.
The milestone reinforces SkyDrive's commitment to advancing safe, reliable, and commercially viable electric air mobility solutions in Japan and global markets.
