Vertical Aerospace unveils its new electric aircraft, Valo, and announces the UK’s first electric air taxi network with Skyports Infrastructure and Bristow

London, UK — December 10, 2025. Vertical Aerospace officially unveiled its new electric aircraft, Valo, offering the public the opportunity to see it in person at an open event held today at The Pelligon, near Canary Wharf station. The aircraft, slated to fly in 2028, marks a significant step in the transition to certified electric aviation.
During the event, the company also announced, together with Skyports Infrastructure and Bristow Group, the launch of the UK’s first electric air taxi network, designed to connect Canary Wharf with the country’s major transport hubs.
The plan, presented as a replicable model for urban air mobility globally, envisions initial routes between Canary Wharf and Heathrow, Gatwick, Cambridge, and Oxford, reducing multi-hour journeys by road to trips of just minutes. For reference, the Canary Wharf – Heathrow flight is estimated at 12 minutes.
The commercial launch is planned for the first quarter of 2029, supported by a comprehensive ecosystem that includes:
- The new Valo electric aircraft from Vertical Aerospace.
- The Skyports infrastructure, which includes London Heliport, the Bicester Vertiport, and future Skyports in the UK.
- The operational expertise of the Bristow Group, which holds AOC certificates to operate in British territory.
The public presentation of Valo, open to the public without prior reservation, took place today between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, marking a significant milestone for electric aviation in the UK and solidifying Vertical Aerospace’s position as one of the most advanced players in the sector.
