Volocopter highlighted the fast-charging capabilities of its VoloXPro platform, designed to facilitate more efficient operations in the advanced air mobility sector through reduced recharge times and advanced energy management systems.
According to the company, the VoloXPro's charging system aims to offer an experience similar to that of electric ground vehicles, simplifying operational processes for future operators and users of electric aircraft.
The company indicated that the aircraft can reach 80% charge in approximately 20 minutes and complete a full recharge in 35 minutes. The system uses direct current (DC) charging optimized for the specific battery chemistry and incorporates active thermal control mechanisms designed to improve the safety, performance, and lifespan of the energy systems.
Volocopter noted that these capabilities could contribute to reducing downtime between flights and facilitating more frequent operations, an aspect considered key for the future scalability of urban air mobility services.
The company continues to develop technologies related to infrastructure, certification, and operations to support the commercial deployment of electric aircraft in various markets.
