Zuppa Geo Navigation Technologies and IISc Bengaluru Establish Drone Center of Excellence in India

Zuppa Geo Navigation Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, announced a partnership to establish a Drone Center of Excellence, aiming to accelerate research, development, and innovation in indigenous UAVs in India.
The center will combine Zuppa’s industrial expertise with IISc’s academic and scientific capabilities to advance key areas such as autonomous aerial systems, design optimization, navigation, guidance and control, and the safe integration of UAVs in various operational environments.
The initiative seeks to strengthen the national drone ecosystem under the “Make in India” approach, enabling strategic applications in defense, agriculture, logistics, disaster response, and infrastructure, and contributing to the development of indigenous technological capabilities at the national level.
