SkyFlare unveiled a full-scale model of its uncrewed VTOL helicopter developed and manufactured in the Valencian Community of Spain. The platform is designed to replace missions currently performed by crewed aircraft while offering lower operating costs and greater flexibility.
The aircraft features a payload capacity of up to 500 kilograms, which the company describes as unprecedented in its category. The vehicle measures approximately 2.1 meters in height, 1.43 meters in width, and 8.3 meters in length.
According to SkyFlare, the platform supports multiple mission configurations and can operate either manually or fully autonomously, expanding its potential use across civil and industrial applications.
The autopilot system was developed internally by PrimeCor Systems, a subsidiary of the Abionica Group, to which SkyFlare belongs. The company noted that the project has received support from the Valencian regional government, which has recognized it as a strategic initiative for regional reindustrialization.
During the Innoespai event, SkyFlare engaged with operators, institutions, and engineers to discuss how the platform could be integrated into future operations.
While the company has not yet disclosed certification or entry-into-service timelines, the development highlights growing interest in high-payload uncrewed VTOL platforms for logistics, emergency response, infrastructure, and defense applications.
